NMA provides litigation support in our areas of expertise. We routinely provide referrals to other forensic engineers and scientists and inspection experts.
Specific areas that NMA will refer to others:
- Manufactured truss analysis unless the issues are related to stability bracing of the web members.
- Architectural issues such as finishes, moisture intrusion and workmanship as well as attic ventilation adequacy.
- Civil engineering issues such as drainage, cuts, fills or compaction as well as surveying.
- Mold issues of any kind.
Specific areas where NMA may recommend another expert be included in the investigation:
- Foundation distress — NMA coordinates investigation with a geotechnical consultant.
- Stucco distress — NMA coordinates investigation with a plastering litigation support firm for issues concerning workmanship or materials.
- Mechanical engineering issues concerning machine design, hauling trailer design, heavy rigging, cranes, turntables or special structures such as theatrical entertainment theme parks.
