Shear wall holddown connection problem

Neil Moore has been performing investigations and providing solutions to distressed structures problems since 1963.

In 1969 Neil Moore was assigned by John Blume and Associates to their Earthquake Research Laboratory and investigated claims of structural damage resulting from underground nuclear events in Colorado and Nevada.

NMA has often been tasked to determine the cause of a failure and to provide the repair or redesign and then oversee the remedial construction.

In some cases where we have been retained, the structures in question required demolition or reconstruction.

Some cases have been resolved in a few days, while some other projects have taken three years to investigate, redesign and complete reconstruction.

In recent years, NMA has focused the firm’s expertise on the growing problem of stucco and secondary membrane distress in residential and commercial structures.
